QA Automation Salaries in the Lion City
The salary landscape for Quality Assurance in Singapore is sharply divided. While manual testing roles are increasingly outsourced or paid modestly, Automation Engineers (SDETs) command excellent salaries due to their ability to accelerate release cycles for massive consumer apps across the APAC region.

The "SDET & Infrastructure" Premium
If you only know how to click through a UI and report bugs manually, your salary will cap out around $80,000 SGD. To push past $150,000 SGD, you must become an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test). If you can build a custom testing framework from scratch in Java or TypeScript, write mock backend servers for testing, and integrate everything seamlessly into a Kubernetes CI/CD pipeline, you transition into a highly paid engineering role.
