Cracking the Infosys HR Interview
If you have reached the HR round at Infosys, you have already cleared the technical filters. This round is purely to check your communication skills, corporate adaptability, and behavioral fit.
The Core Assessment Areas
Infosys hires at a massive scale. They need employees who are flexible, trainable, and reliable.
1. The Relocation and Shift Test
Infosys operates globally and across India (Mysore, Pune, Bangalore).
- Question: "Are you willing to relocate to any of our development centers across India?"
- Question: "Are you comfortable working in night shifts to support US clients?"
- The Approach: You MUST say yes. If you show strict geographic or timing constraints as a fresher, they will drop you for someone more flexible.
2. The Service Agreement (Bond)
- Question: "Are you aware of our service agreement (bond), and are you ready to sign it?"
- The Approach: Acknowledge it confidently. Say, "Yes, I am looking for a long-term association with a stable company, so the service agreement is not an issue for me."
3. Behavioral and Attitude Checks
Infosys does not want "lone wolves." They want team players.
- "Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a team member." (Show how you resolved it professionally without escalating to management immediately).
- "Why Infosys?" (Do not just say "It's a big company." Mention their world-class training program at the Mysore campus and their ethical corporate governance).
4. Communication Skills
Your spoken English must be clear. They are testing if they can put you on a Zoom call with an American or European client without embarrassment. Speak slowly, clearly, and confidently.
