3. DeFi (Decentralized Finance) Engineering
While consumer crypto cooled, institutional DeFi (lending protocols, decentralized exchanges, stablecoin architecture) continued to grow quietly.
- The Demand: Full-stack developers who can build complex, secure React frontends (using ethers.js/viem) that interact flawlessly with backend smart contracts.

Web3 is no longer a get-rich-quick scheme for junior developers. It has become a niche, highly technical sector akin to High-Frequency Trading (HFT) or quantitative finance.
If you want a stable, broad job market with thousands of openings, focus on AI integration or Cloud Architecture. If you are deeply fascinated by cryptography, distributed systems, and decentralized finance, and you are willing to master complex languages like Rust or Solidity, the Web3 job market remains incredibly lucrative for top-tier talent.
